The
the right technology in place, biodiesel processing is simple -- starting with
the input of raw materials--typically vegetable oil-based. Whether soybeans
or other sources, this material is refined to remove glycerine and recover methanol
which, when added with KOH, is refined from a crude biodiesel, into a clean
burning, environmentally sensitive alternative to fossil fuels; BioDiesel. This
renewable fuel can be totally substituted for petroleum-based diesel, but is
more often blended from 5% -to- 20%. This blended fuel is assigned a blend rating,
e.g.; a 20% blend would be referred to as B20.
